after last show in Milan, it was only about a 3 hour drive to hotel I booked in the French part of the Alps getting there just in time for sunset and dinner love the rocks used as roof tiles, I did this trip before, back in 2018 and stayed further up the road at Sainte Foy but the hotel is no longer a hotelpretty view from bedroom Mt Pourri Aiguille Rouge sunset colours next morning after a nice restful sleep with no city noise looking around the valley from bedroom Arc 2000 another glorious day after breakfast, high clouds roll in Aiguille Rouge, the highest point of the Arcs ski resort Les Arcsacross the valleyzoom in, see, this is why I would probably not like to take a ski holiday in France, and go to Austria instead if I have the option
They just seem to “pack” them in at the resorts in France, whereas in Austria they are limited to yay hotel beds as a precentage to the actual population of the village, so a big village many hotel beds a small village only a few hotel beds, whereas here, a village with no locals is just over run with massive apartment complex, so no charm, no character and a ghost town in summerpacked up the room ready to go but take another look with the 400mm towards Val D’Isere schmelting away magnificent mountain packing the car, time to go to Parisdriving out of La Rosiere one more look at the mountains be all white in winter 9hours drive now, opting to not go on the higheway for the next 200plus km
La Rosiere, French Alps
