Good morning Italy driving from Varigotti around Capo Noli, and the water clarity is just amazing Capo Noli that’s the road carved into the cliff face ready to swim we find a parking spot ( finally ) at Spotornoafter a yummy Italian lunch overlooking the beach, we hit the beach, but things are a bit different in Italy than Australia. The beaches, here, in towns are divided in public and private. The private ones, you need to pay to enter, and can only enter if there is a chair and umbrella available, otherwise, the beach is “full “. Luckily, on this beautiful hot summer day, there was still some spots available, and turns out people rent these “spots” on the beach either daily, but most rent weekly, monthly or even for the whole summer season ( and at 30€ day, that’s not cheap ) but it comes with a shed where you can change and leave your belongings, plus shower roomsI just wanted to get in that water, so this one time, I did not care ( naturally, something we would never do in Australia ) Just look at that clarity, and it was around 25 degrees ( if nto warmer ) let’s go the private beach and then the clarity, omg watch out for big fish 🙂 love and a lot of fish around as well schools of them and could get close enough for some great shots Jacqui loving it they were pretty friendly even some little blue ones, like in Fiji then back on the chair to soak it all up before going for a swim again Looking further down along the beach with the mix of public ( coloured umbrellas ) and private sections of the beach our spot out of the breeze and in the afternoon sun still can’t get over that clarity One of the Italian photographers suggested I check out Varigotti, so after our day at the beach we head over there for an afternoon pre dinner drink and check out the beach with it’s coloured houses on the beach front and great snorkeling spot tooItalian villages love the colours, tomorrow, another adventure
Spotorno, Savona Province, Italy
Something I have never done before, rent a beach chair and umbrella on a beach. They call them Lidos in Italy, and ooh, the clarity of the water at this place !!
