you see why they call it redwood   there is a great tree walk here,  you can really immerse yourself in the forest that way solid chunk of wood, but only about 100 years old It was New Zealand forestry commission testing out different tree types about a 100 years ago, to see what would grow well, and the Californian red wood cedar came out on top, growing faster than it does in California

Before heading to the west coast, we take a last look at one of the most spectacular forests here
