Blue Mountains Apple Picking trip

This time last year we went to the Blue Mountains for a day trip but ended up turning it into an overnight stay

So this time last year we drove west to the Blue Mountains and stayed at the Hydro Majestic , Belgravia wing, Medlow Bathand this is one of the reasons why ( the other one at the bottom of this post )  Pulpi Rock bush trackmy girls at Govetts Leap bush art you can see where some of the Aboriginal art gets its inspiration from  lovely colour in winter time distinctive horse shoe shape at Govetts Leap bottle brush nice slightly overgrown bush track creek , yes and you know who went swimmingmy girls dead end India's swimming hole love a good tree fern sunset our home for tonight dining room looks like a cruise liner, and it was intentional, as back in its heyday, the majority of guest were just that, passengers from a cruise liner up on the mountains from Sydney for a day trip what a view, from our room the tea lounge where the ladies would gather for tea, while the men were in the cigar room/bar where woman were not allowed, aahhh the old days closer to the clouds room with a view next morning,  clouds still in the valley below after breakfast we say good bye  to the old cruise ship of the mountains  Mt Victoria House Church at Mt Wilson filtered by chestnut leaves the old big tree, struck by lightning many years ago my girls then the second reason why we came here, apple picking at Bilpin but we were resigned after see-ing this queue  that we would not be picking apples today. Not one for queues, but lucky for us, there was another apple picking place open up the road down a dirt track with no one else around so we had the place to ourselves and went home with a couple of bags of fresh apples
