A day at the beach in Adelaide

We arrived in Adelaide last night in time for dinner with one of Jacqui old scholl friends, and then after a nice luxury comfy sleep ( we checked into the Meridien Hotel on Melbourne street, great location to explore Adelaide from, far enough from the CBD, but close enough to walk there, with loads of cafes and restaurants- we had Japanese ) anyway, after that cosy sleep we thought we should hit the beach after all that outback Adelaide, as a city, does not exactly sit on the ocean the way Sydney does, it connecta to it, but it is more of a gulf, so it does not get the ocean swells like we do in Syndey, so it is a great spot for sailing and kids won't get dumped on the beach by waves
