Backstage, models get a briefing on how the parade will go down tonight then a quick re-hearsal on the catwalk.Which by the way, has hastily been set up straight after peak hour finished on one of the main roads through Norwood, sort of like blocking of Oxford street in Paddington, and setting up a show in less than 90 min. So I must say I'm pretty impressed by the speed in which this was set up by the local council and the people from Adelaide Fashion Festival, good job Such a great idea to bring fashion to the public, now as long as the rain holds ( It did ) and about 40 min later, moments before the show starts and the DJ lines up the tracks, check out the amazing sunset as a backdrop, fan friggin tastic awesome collurs ( and my awesome, ahem, assistant 🙂 look at that sky, hot, and yes, so's my girl, I mean assistant, oh whatever. She's a multi tasker ! So keep an eye out on Jacqui's blog for her Adelaide report in the next few days let the parade begin
The norwood parade, is more of a festival than a fashion parade, what I mean by that, is that it is being presented showcasing fashion available in stores now, so the public gets to view it in a show, and then go out to the shops to do a spot of shopping if anything caught their eye ( yes, the shops stayed open till after the parade )
Local girls Selena Battersby & Charlotte Chambers were doing a spot of MC tonight, their daytime gig is putting together funky fashion rag called Attitude magazine ( because fashion is so full of it ? )
And for the ladies , after the show, a firefighters parade 🙂
