On our way to Byron

We stop at Armidale for the night, oh yeah,normally we would travelup the pacific highway, but see-ing every man and his dog does so as well this time of the year, we decided to take the inland route, which turned out to be a good idea, no traffic what so ever, whereas on the pch it was bumper to bumper at certain spots_AUS6008

Next day , on our way north, we stop off to check out one of Bushranger Thunderbolt's hide out, a cave at a rocky outcrop_AUS6018

I could already visuallise the police sneaking up on the hill here. Interesting fact about Thunderbolt, he never killed anyone or fired his rifle at police ( even though he was shot through the chest ) they say the reason for this was that he had an aboriginal wife, who , has seen a lot of suffering and death within her people because of guns, forbade him from carrying a gun, and on top of that, they say he was the first male to take maternity leave from his work,  whenever his wife was pregnant he would stop working to look after his wife and family_AUS6026

Would have been full of trees until the timber getters moved in, followed by the dairy farmers_AUS6090

To arrive at Cape Byron in time for a storm, can you see the lightning flash
