When you get that gate, you know you will be busing it, as there is no space for airplanes at gate 1A, gate 1 yes, but not 1A, you just walk on down to the bus, which then takes you to the plane on the tarmac, which I find very unusual for a long haul flight ( London to Singapore, then onto Sydney )
I don’t ever recall getting on a 747-400 from the tarmac, but gives me the opportunity to get a shot in with my Nokia
Big enough to stand in head to toe
Again, it does not really show in this photo, but standing at the bottom of this plane for a change, you get to really see how big it is, the height alone , really is like a block of apartments on Bondi’s campbell parade, actually , make that taller
Hope there will be no bits flying of from this plane, like the Qantas flight from Hong kong to Melbourne, while I’m at it, referring ot other articles, for those not been on a plane for a while, here’s a quick read about the new rules of airline travel
