I’m always impressed how they manage to build castles and churches in the old days, without cranes, electricty and heavy lifting machines ( the safety inspection people from now, would have had a field day )
And I’m curious as to what the purpose is of the lead pushed in on top of the iron casts into the stone blocks
And looks like it has been punched in with nail puncher, leaving those marks
Here it is missing, eroded perhaps
