one thing about air travel I don’t like is boarding a plane via a bus 
it just feels…. wrong, takes the special out of flying for me 
but then, I don;t get to see this via from air bridge

looks like it will be a cloudy ride 
yep, foothills to the Alps and clouds are getting thicker 
10 minutes in and a quick break in the clouds to reveal some Alps 
but quickly set in again 
approaching London 
few storm cells around 
so circling outside of Heathrow to wait our turn as there is a build up of planes trying to slot in
couple of turns 
last one 
and coming in from the north this time 
landed, and no Qantas plane ( later learned there have been issues and delays with QF2 ) 
after a stop in the lounge of to C gates ( unusual for flight to Paris ) 
ready to pull back 
taxi 
quite a queue, so will miss sunset 
take off 
oh yes 
still a snippet of sunset left

landed at Runway 27 so a very long taxi to the gate
and that thick cloud cover all the way and storm cells in London
