Job done in Brisbane so next morning off to Rockhampton

wonder what they are talking about, cracking a joke ? no, body language too serious nice clear day for an airplane flightgetting instructions missed the wave, bugger ready to taxi ready to take off end of the port of Brisbane and Mud Island the gap between Moreton and North Stradbroke Islands Tangalooma on the left, the village of Moreton Island and then the sand dunes on the right they called Moreton Island desert loving these what look like drifting sand banksso pretty, shifting sands in the tidal movements over time, impermanence Bulwer & Comboyuro Point must be tricky navigating big boats through the maze of drifting shallow sand banks looks pretty though edge of the shallow sand banks and deep water looks like the spot to fish tracking all along the sunshine coast, on the left hand side, so I did not see it, and we cross back over land at Cooloola Beach just north of Noosa ( left hand side should have a great view of noosa right now )  It's a very long beach, about 50 kms of pure white sand, all the way up to Double Island point Cooloola beach, Great Sandy National Park, Rainbow Beach and then the great Fraser Island Fraser Island and Sandy straight exiting at Inskip into the Coral sea Double Island Point again, I'm fascinated with this place, as in the right conditions it has an amazing long right hand wave breaking along that sand bank, a bit of a gap in the sand bank at the moment Fraser Island Another look at Double Bay Island, accessible only by a decked out 4WD, or boat from Rainbow beachInskip Fraser Island Poona, Tinnanbar and then Fraser Island Poona, a very calm day, no wind, so loving the reflection of the clouds just of Fraser Island in the Sandy Straight Hervey Bay Maryborough and Mary River Hervey Bay and Fraser Island Burrum Heads and Hervey bay, and the north tip of Fraser Island Bundaberg 1770 and Agnes Waters Eurimbula looking back again at 1770, another great surf spot, that works only a few times of the year, nice long sand bankhere's a screen shot of overhead satellite photo, so you can see what I meanHummock Island Gladstone and Facing Island Facing Island, and you can just make out the Coral Reefs part of the Heron chain of Islands including Heron Island ( just out of frame ) Facing Island, Alumina Residu plant on Byne Island, Tannum sands, Boyne River, Awoonga Dam and Taragoola Quarry Boats of Facing Island and now I can just make out Heron Island The city of Gladstone, I can just make out the airport Yarwun Alumina, Mt Larcom and Curtis Island Balaclava Island Raglan Creek Balaclava Island Inkerman Creek and Port Alma Port Alma Salt evaporation Fitzroy River entering the Coral Sea Obstruction Island, Egg Island, Sandfly Island, Mud Island and Mackenzie Island, all in the mouth of the mighty Fitzroy River Great Keppel Islands off the coast of Yeppoon The ugly Zilzie housing estate many a realtor tried to tell me to buy in, look at it, even from up here it looks soul less and built on swamp land, needless to say, I did not speak with any of those real estate people anymore Zilzie, Emu Park, Kinka, Roslyn all suburbs of Yeppoon Mt Wheeler oh my, finally get to Surf Lakes I've been wanting to check out this mew wave pool, seen many videos but not open to the public yet, still in testing phase ( I think that's 4 years of testing now ) you can see how it is just of Yeppoon road, which takes you from Rockhampton top Yeppoon, so pretty close to both cities Hedlow Creek Lake Mary mighty Fitzroy River coming in to land I prefer my river with clear water but I do love the colour from up here of the Fitzroy landed, spot the crocfligth track from the flight
