After Menindee, it's off to Ivanhoe, Hilston, Lake Cargelligo, Condobolin, Parkes & Orange
Which I didn't realize is more than 200km of dirt road - oh well
Menindeethe size of that air conditioning, probably warranted just outside of town on the way to Ivanhouse , and yes, what he says can see the real estate add now, just needs a lick of paint, has luxury bathroom with magnificent cactus garden but it does have something on the cactus after Ivanhoe, taking the dirt road to HillstonBarwonnie Station has their Snow Man out pretty flat for miles and miles ( why do we still say that in Australia, when we use metric system )this is what it looks like in the middle of nowhere on a sunny day, and no that's not water on the road ahead it's a mirage Cattle Stations on Mossgiel road black hide, in this sun....hot then, all of sudden, amongst all the dry landscape, an oasis, Merrowie Creeklooks so invitinghere's the same spot, a screen shot form google earth, not quite the same on that day definitely the same spotOnce a jolly swagman camped by a billabong,
Under the shade of a coolibah tree,
And he sang as he watched and waited 'til his billy boiled,
Who'll come a-waltzing, Matilda, with me? love this, like a paintingafter going through Hillston, a big body of water, Lake Cargelligo Mr Percival love this bird just casually cruising past me up in the distance I spot fo big flock of them, tried to find a way on the shoreline to get to them to take some more photos, but could not get there, was on private land instead flock of emu'son the road again, getting closer to Condobolin and lots of wheatfieldsand it's harvest time not at this field, but as I'm driving through these fields where they are harvesting you know the smell of fresh baked bread, that's what I smell as I drive through these wheatfieldssunset after Parkes on the way to Orange nice way to finish off a long day of driving Australia once set, still some nice colour in the sky
