Next day after the Taupo waterfall and craters of the moon landscape, time to turn it up a notch with the thermal activity it’s about a 20 minute ride out of Taupo, on a lake, and then they take you across by boat the colours are amazing  and the sound of boiling, bubbling water is all around you active, a mini geyser and then hot water came rushing out silica building up the colour ! hot, like really hot chuck in an egg for boiled eggs and the surrounding hills so lush  did another little time lapse here, click to see a view from above and then there’s the mud baths as well, too hot to get in there though driving back to Taupo and those green rolling hills
