early morning departure from Sydney

big storm cloud just off the coast, we got a lightning storm on our way to the airport when it is still dark, and now getto see the massive cloud that caused it all

early morning, Australia East Coast

like a big Iceberg

Plane is not getting too close to it and banking around it

turning

lot of electricity in there

and on the other side

a small hour into the flight, this reef pops up, now I seen one before out here a few months back on a flight to Los Angeles , the one on
that flight was Middleton Reef so this must Elizabeth Reef
Middleton Reef, just 45 km north of a similar reef called Elizabeth reef, both sitting about 555Km of the east coast, and in the old days caused quite a headache for a lot of sailing boats, quite a lot of shipwrecks, the list is lon

looks like a left and right there

do we know if anyone ever surfed out here ?

an another hour or so we are getting closer to Fiji

and there we have it, the mamanuca Islands of Fiji

and Namotu and Tavarua

looking so super glassy this day, it's lunchtime and usually come lunchtime the tradies already start blowing, but not today

looks super calm

maybe 3-4 foot swell

can't wait to get down there

and there is that resort again, right under the flight path

but now it is actually open and running ( opened last month )

I love how it is pretty close to Cloudbreak

and I will actually be staying there at some stage during this trip

looking forward to it
