Road trip up along to the mid north coast

SON_4508Sonnyphotossunrise about 180 or so km north from Sydney SON_4512Sonnyphotoswas really cold this morning SON_4514Sonnyphotosvery serene looking landscape SON_4515Sonnyphotossun is already warming me up again SON_4517Sonnyphotos SON_4518Sonnyphotos SON_4521Sonnyphotos SON_4522Sonnyphotosanother 150 km or so , and I get to Port Macquirie, instead of continuing along highway, I take a scenic detour, and take a ferry across the Hastings river to take the 4wd track to Crescent head SON_4523Sonnyphotosand it is rewarding ( and bumpy ) to then get to scenes like this, totally empty beaches SON_4527SonnyphotosPort Macquirie in the distance SON_4530SonnyphotosI guy out surfing SON_4531SonnyphotosQueen’s Head south of Point Plomer SON_4532Sonnyphotosthe track, 4wd only  SON_4533SonnyphotosQueens head beach SON_4537SonnyphotosBig Hil Point SON_4538Sonnyphotosvery small waves, seems to happen all the time when I head north SON_4539Sonnyphotosflat flat, and Delicate Nobby head rocks  SON_4542Sonnyphotosracecourse head SON_4544Sonnyphotoswas hoping to get to see some waves on this right hand point break SON_4545SonnyphotosCrescent head in the distance SON_4547Sonnyphotoslines coming in at racecourse, just only 1/2 a foot though SON_4549Sonnyphotosmight have to come back here again
