There are enough clothing stores in Newtown to dress the nation, but the one that stood out to me was The Local Store. In there, Jacinda (in my portraits wearing the Emma Louise T-shirt by MARCS) works part time. She is a music lover, freelance journalist and photographer.
Do you remember your first band T-shirt?
– Yes, it was the Kings of Leon‘s Youth & Young Manhood. I’ve still got it, although there’s almost more holes than there is fabric at this stage…
How important is live music to you?
– So important! Why would you even buy an album if you haven’t seen the artist or the band live?
What was the latest gig you saw?
– A new artist, Steve Smyth, at a bar in Newtown called Mary’s. The band was amazing and I had so much fun. (I just had a listen, and yeah the boy has a sound)
What’s you favourite ever album?
– Everything and anything by You Am I. All their albums are great… but my favourite one is Sound As Ever.
Favourite song?
– (She walks to the record player and puts it on). The Drones, Oh My.
