so I’m finally getting around to continue my posts on the Maldivian adventure, we left off here on day one, our flight from Lisbon via Dubai to Maldives and then our journey by boat directly from the airport to our floating home for the next 6 days. So we pick up the thread again on day 2, on our Dhoni, which is our transfer boat form our main boat to , well to where ever we want to go. I already had a surf before breakfast with Maya our Portugese surf guide.

All on deck, get the sun tan out girls and boys, its going to be a sunny day ( we landed in rain and the forecast was for more rain )

hahaha, that’s the way to do it Anne-Ro. Well, in her defense, she has never been out on a board before 🙂

TOM_8579SonnyphotosTommySurfshack

That’s where we are heading to, the calmer water inside the reef break, the break is called Jail break, as there used to be a jail on the island

TOM_8584SonnyphotosTommySurfshack

Marco, first time out on a surfboard, looking comfortable

TOM_8614SonnyphotosTommySurfshack

Bie and Chris page from Magic seaweed. Bie is also a first timer, well they all are except Chris has had a dabble before as has Maryela

So Maya and I decided it would be best to bring everyone out to the shallow reef area on the inside section, so we can show the dangers of the reef, as these guys have not surfed before and we want to be able to catch their first wave, but we also want no one to go home with any major injuries, except for jaw pain from the constant wide grin, and as there is no such thing as a beach break in the Maldives, only reef breaks

Ilaria, form Vanity Fair Italy, clearing hating her job right now ( as am I hehehe )
