We are on our way to Broken hill, normally I would have liked to go via Mootwingee from White Cliffs, but it is a dirt road, and with all the rain, there could be a lot of water damage, and we're not in a 4WD so could be a bit bumpy/risky in the 2WD wagon. And it is not a busy road, so if something does go wrong, it could be a while before we could expect some help, plus no phone reception to call for help. So back on the road to Wilcannia, and half way we see all this water damage on the side of the road, so probably a good decision
found a watering hole. don't want to harp on about the water, ok I will, but the amount of times I see empty, dry damsn, and this not far from the East coast, so to see one full with water, much further inland …..
must have been some heavy "outback' rain another 20-30kms further down the road, and more flooded plains bet there has not been any water in there for a long time. when We talked to one of the locals, they were like, yeah, I 've seen some foliage before, but never the hills all green like this but we still managed to find a little patch of the usual red dirt
love the clouds
