Lake Gairdner, our first taste

_AUS5604sonnyAfter checking in and dropping out bags in our room, we knew we did not have a lot of daylight left to get to the lake. And probably a good 30 minute drive to, along a winding dusty road, over a few cattle grids, a gate and one last padlocked gate ( you get the keys from Mt. Ive station ) and here we are, where the red earth meets the crystal white of the salt lake, magic _AUS5607sonnyand got here just in time _AUS5610sonnyBelle goes running into the setting sun, this place is massive _AUS5611sonny

_AUS5627sonnyThis place is so magical , so quite and not another soul in sight, felt like we spent the whole day just getting here, and stoked we are, but strange that there is nobody else around _AUS5628sonny

Jacs is loving here as well, we all are. If you look behind Jacqui, to the right, the lake there keeps going for close to 160 kms _AUS5642sonny

dying to get permission to get the car out on the lake and drive along for a good 100kms, but it is part of National Park, so streng verboten _AUS5657sonny

_AUS5698sonnyAs we prepared tp leave, we looked around and for as far as the eye could see, not another building, structure, house light or car light in sight, and on our drive back to Mt. Ive station, with big smile son our face we did not pass another car or see another human being, magical place 🙂
