SYD_8393SonnyphotosAfter our swim at the Never Never River, we head back to the coast to check out the boardwalk at Urunga SYD_8396SonnyphotosTide is coming in, and strong noreaster blowin' SYD_8401Sonnyphotosnice scenery SYD_8404SonnyphotosBellingen River running out to sea SYD_8407Sonnyphotosother side of the boardwalk, river one side and marshland on other SYD_8410Sonnyphotospretty great that they build this, it is remnants of an old jetty that was used up till the train line took over, but most of the timber would get loaded up on boats here and would then sail down to Sydney SYD_8412Sonnyphotoswith the big heavy rainfalls in the past 2 years, a lot of trees flooded down the swollen rivers out to sea, and they would then get blown back towards the beach by the strong noreasterly wind and wash back on the beach SYD_8414Sonnyphotosthen some of the locals around here got together and built thgese structures with all the wood, and woauw, what a location. 🙂 SYD_8477SonnyphotosWhen we walked back to the carpark, just on the last section we saw a healthy sized stingray cruising under the boardwalk on the sand in the shallow water. I did not get a photo of it, but Jacqui did, so we will have to wait till she catches up with the posts on her blog
