SYD_8653Sonnyphotosrays of light through the clouds hitting the mountains SYD_8655Sonnyphotoslooks like we are about to fly into a storm SYD_8658Sonnyphotosyep. that's a storm down there SYD_8660SonnyphotosAbout 30-40 mins later, we fly over the NSW/Qld border, and down there is pretty the same spot where I took the pictures about a week or so ago, from the best of all lookouts. SYD_8663Sonnyphotosthe peak you see middle left, would be Mt. Warning SYD_8668SonnyphotosBrisbane, with 7 Hills Bushland reserve in front SYD_8671Sonnyphotoscruise ship ? Did not realise they went up the brisbane river SYD_8674Sonnyphotosabout 6-7 hours later, catching trains, taxis and going to the queensland motor registry, picking up a car and driving 500 kms south towards Sydney, I was just approaching Coffs Harbour and planning to have a quick surf at one of the beaches there, when I run into the storm I flew over earlier this morning SYD_8676SonnyphotosHad such a lovely sunny drive for 498 Km or so, and now the sun is dissappearing, normally still would have a good 2-3 hours of sunlight, but that storm is putting an end to that SYD_8679Sonnyphotosthe further south you look, the darker it gets SYD_8682Sonnyphotos
the road ahead, I just gave myself a birthday present and bought a new board in Qld. and was pretty keen to test it out, but that storm is not looking too good. I drove to the beach anyway, and just as I got there a few lightning bolts came down, but the surf was still tiny anyway. So on I drove.
