Whale of a time … hmm, maybe not the best title for this post

the local kids temporarily ditch their skate boards. so just before fashion week started, word got around quickly on the northern beaches, that a whale had washed ashore at Newport beach When I drove down their with the kids, it was no where to be seen on the beach, but then I smelled something off, followed our nose to the rocks, and there it was, washed up on the rocks So not a case of a whale beaching itself, but more a case of an already dead whale getting washed onshore with all those onshore winds we had that week, not an adult whale, but still pretty big, and a few chunks taken out by sharks already as well and the smell was worse than any rotten fish smell you ever encountered so it was a case of quick, get the photo and re treat to purer air again 🙂
