Next day, even smaller still

Very hot day today, been a good boy all morning, working on the computer, but come 1 o'clock it was just too hot, and no one at the beach , had the beach to ourselves. That's because it is Melbourne cup day, so a lot of people are at the pub or melbourne cup luncheons ( in 37 degree heat, not me, I'm swimming )
But look at that photo, not a ripple, flat flat flat
so good day for a snorkel
and a float
a few more people look like they are ditching the idea of the "race that stops the nation " and have a swim instead
I'm off looking for fins that would have come of boards from surfing off rocks
Jacs has never been to jump rock, which is at northern headland of Avalon beach, so after an hour of swimming in the water I take her there
it's a good 10-15 min walk, but with this heat , and then all the flies that are blown in with hot wind

I did not feel like walking all the way back on the hot rocks, so that's me swimming back
stopping on a rock I just swam over to make sure I don't swim too close again ( well ,there was a shark attack at this very spot this year )

nice to be able to just float, and then to think people pay money to go on a holiday just to be able to this, and for us it's just up the road from home, how lucky are we
