We went out for a nice dinner at an Indonesian restaurant called Rice in Brunswicks heads, figuring Byron Bay would be just too busy


After dinner we did go to Byron, we promised the kids they could stay up till midnight to watch the fireworks ( their first time up till midnight, woohooo, big deal )

I was trying to get the girls to go on the swing , but they wouldn't have a bar of it, no way, too much for them still, and they are clearly interested in something else judging by their look. There were some coppers around, so we asked where the fireworks would be launched from , reply, sorry no fireworks this year, they're trying to keep the "youth" to a minimum and focus more on families so the fireworks are canceled. Hmmm, in my book, fireworks is more of a family thing. Anyway, the kids, needles to say, were very disappointed
