The morning after Arnhem,I had to race back to Antwerp in the morning for Saskia and Ruud’s wedding in Antwerp, so I spent pretty much the whole day with them following them around and taking photos, which is rare for me as I’m not a big fan of weddings, and when I been asked in the past if I could photograph a wedding, it’s always been a genlte but big NO, but Saskia was persistent and had already asked for about a year, every month, so after such desire to get me to do it, even after I tried to talk her out of it, saying that I would not be that good at it etc….but she did not concede, she wanted me, so here I was, I must admit, it was a fun day, and nice to see these two so in love, but anyone else out there , don’t get your hopes up, last wedding I did was for one of my best friends back in Sydney Kerrie Moore, well back in Wollombi to be precise, and that was 15 years ago, so don’t expect another one for 15 years now.
This photo was at the end of the evening, I was just about to leave, had said my good bye’s, but Ruud had a surprise for his wife, outside of the function room, his mates set up a stage with band set up, amps , speakers etc…, so everyone was invited to come outside, where there will be a band playing, the band , Ruud’s mates, played a little pre recorded intro track, then they announced that because it is such a special evening, they got a special some one to play with them tonight, and then Ruud, who’s only been playing guitar for 2 months or so , got up and did a foo fighters song in front of everyone, you can imagine Saskia sheer delight and surprise
For the guests, they had a photo booth set up for all to get some shots taken of themselves ( made my job easier ) here Olivier, fresh back from Dubai with Zsofi Horvath ( former Miss Belgian Beauty )
I best have a go at this photo booth thing as well, you can see yourself on a screen and , well yeah change the contrast and then print yourself
