Not only was there the fog problem, but on the terminal, the trolley band that takes the luggage from the check in to the plane was broken, so as soon as I got there, it was chaos, and I was wondering why so many people were on the floor with their suitcases open , going through all their stuff, it wasn’t till later that I realised because it was that they were told by checkin staff that they could not take their luggage with them , as in they could not check it in, so people were jamming as much as they could into their on board hand luggage, or buying little back packs, small enough to take on board and big enough to get as much of their luggage in there. The other option they had was to use a freight service, disgusting, they should have just hired extra staff for the day , and taken all the suitcases by hand ( well on trolleys ofcourse, 10 /20 at a time or so ) but no, that would be too much of an in convenience to the airport to get more staff, so instead they inconvenienced their customers. I mean, imagine, you work 9 to 5 , only get like 4 weeks vacation a year, finally planned a nice big trip somewhere, pack your bags to then be told you can’t take your bags with you…crazy….me I was lucky ( I started to get ready for a fight when I heard about this with all my luggage and camera gear ) But because my flight came in from Sydney, I was officially in transit so my luggage was check in ..thank gawd for that.
So as you can see from this photo, a lot of planes at the gates
