Bridge over many rivers

One of the many bridges on the way back to Sydney, that’s why they call it the northern rivers, plural.
Along the east coast you have the blue mountains that run perpendicular along the coastline, so when it rains, it all cascades down the slopes , hence all the rivers, beyond the mountains you get the great plains and eventually the desert
