Plan was to drive back mid morning on NYE to be back in Sydney for the festivities, Jacqui already left in her car, I stay behind clean up the house, then leave, 130 kms later, the car carks it, starts shaking and stuff, pull over, and water just gushes out the front of the engine.
So here I am now waiting for NRMA (road service ), he's pretty busy, so when I gave him the symptoms over the phone, we concluded to just get it towed to the nearest mechanic, so tow truck on the way

close to 2 hours later made it to the mechanics, its about 3pm now, will I make it back to Sydney in time, will they be able to fix it, no probs comes the reply looks like your water pump is gone, and we have a spare one here, no problem, we'll have you out of here in a couple of hours, cool

Yep, that's the water pump gone, but now, when they took it off they realize the metal hosing needs to be replaced as well, as there was a dodgey fix done on it, but...they don't have one, and it is now 4:30 and everything else is closed, so .. I can't leave, what, spend NYE in port macquirie shit
with the help of the mechanics I manage to hire a car literally 5 minutes before the guy closed, so I could at least drive back to Sydney
