I was invited by Tanya to join her to the Dubai style awards ( chuckle :-) which was organised by one of the local magazines, the setting was the Park Hyatt hotel on the creek, nice location. The evening itself was a bit of a dud, besides see-ing some of the people I've gotton to know, it was very lame, really lame ambient music, you know the really slow cafe del mar style, but slower, I mean , at a party, then a band would play a few tracks, way too loud, and they were better suited at a wedding party, got to meet a couple of people, was some nice food, and it wasn't till the end of the evening that, tucked away in a corner, I found the chocolate fountain, one big fat word..... YUM !!

The other good thing that happened was that Tanya, who in vited me, one the most femine award. the other winners were a bit of a joke.I thought it was style awards, as in achievements from the past year or something, but no, it was for people in the room tonight, you know like best dressed, best hair do etc... and it was all so lame, but the chocolate fountain made up for it all...YUM
