So there we were waiting at the airport, when they announced the cancellation of the flight, we were shocked, we can see blue skies through the thing fog, but flight is cancelled due to fog, so now we have a major problem, as there are no other flights today, the flight tomorrow will get there too late for us to do any work, leaving me only one day to shoot 8 pages, way too risky with the shorter days and bad weather possibility, can't postpone the shoot as the model is on a flight already to Glasgow , Ryan air will only re-imburse cost of flight or put us on another fligh ( which is not till tomorrow ) but there is already about a 150 people trying to get on that flight, and no guarantee that flight won't get cancelled, so I check with info desk if they will pay for a flight with another airline, nope they won't , and I thought they ( the airline) were supposed to help me in getting an " alternate" way to get to my destination . if I pay it out of my own pocket ( as opposed to magazine) I will be waaaay over budget. So no time to argue with them now, every minute counts, ring BA, too expensive , ring Eurostar ( train) also waaay to expensive, so left with two options...cancel shoot,or hire a car.....so here we are now crossing the Belgium/French border, 4 hours later from our scheduled flight departure
